    12.Code of Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans
     In 1994, the Presidents of the Medical Research Council of Canada (MRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), collectively appointed a multi-disciplinary working group (the Tri-Council Working Group) and gave it the mandate to develop new policies and regulations to replace the Councils' existing guidelines for research involving humans. The Code of Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans is the result of that process.
